We bought the first kit car from Factory Five Racing in the Fall of 2018, the MK4 Roadster, with a 5.0L 'Coyote' engine and 5-speed manual Tremec transmission, 435 horsepower and 400 lbs of torque. Check out the gallery below to see the progress that we made over ten months.
Kids helped to build it (with the supervision of adults and professional mechanics) in order to help promote and support vocations to priesthood and consecrated life. They selected the colors (white with blue stripes) by voting with a ballot for each hour that they worked, and they named the car "Teresa" after Saint Mother Teresa of Calcutta.
The car was then driven around central Minnesota to car shows, parades, and parish festivals before being raffled on September 8, 2019. The winner was Gordon Moench of Wadena, MN.
Below are a few pictures that highlight the car build throughout the ten months for its completion, some car shows, and the raffle.
