What is Father’s Garage?
It started as a dream to support vocations to the priesthood and consecrated life, especially those aspiring young people who have financial debt holding them back from acceptance in a formation program. We built a car. We raffled it to raise funds. Now we are paying the way for more vocations. Another benefit of the car build is the family bonding that happens at Father’s Garage. Fathers and sons, mothers and daughters are invited to join in the build together. Just check the calendar, and let Father Aaron know you are coming to help. (Minors must always be accompanied by a parent or guardian, in compliance with Diocesan and Safe Environment policies. The other benefit is somewhat personal. The opportunity to learn how a car functions by building it from the ground up is pretty awesome. For those who have always wanted to turn a wrench, this is your opportunity. No experience required, just a lot of patience and a willingness to learn. Location The garage behind the rectory at the Church of St. Ann, in Wadena. |
